PI Standard Users

Use

The following standard users are available for installation option Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (PI-AEX).

Dialog Users

Dialog users represent human users (as opposed to service users), who log on through the various user interfaces of the different components of SAP PI, such as, the Enterprise Services Repository, Integration Directory, and System Landscape Directory.

The following dialog user is available:

Customers can create their own users and grant authorizations by assigning the corresponding roles.

Service Users

Service users enable secure communication between SAP PI and other components.
The following service users are available:

PIAF<SID>	SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR	Service user for the Advanced Adapter Engine (to call other PI component)
PIAPPL<SID>	SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER	Service user for sender application system
PIDIR<SID>	SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR	Service user for Integration Directory
PIREP<SID>	SAP_XI_IR_SERV_USER SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR	Service user for ES Repository
PIRWB<SID>	SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER_MAIN SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR	Service user for Runtime Workbench

 

 

Default Users

Default users are available initially after installation of SAP PI and provided with extensive permissions, for example, for administrators.
The following default users are available:

• Administrator
• Anonymous
• Guest

Recommendation
It is recommended that you copy default users immediately after installation just in case a default user becomes locked accidentally. Also change the passwords of default users as soon as possible to prevent unwanted users from logging in with maximum permission.
